EXULTATION

Hindi

(It’s a looking mirror and this art is known as Mirror Engraving)

In this painting the artist have shown that all the occasions and festivals in India were celebrated with the music of these instruments. It’s of no doubt that Indian fasts and festivals are our Heritage. All our fasts and festivals like diwali or karwachauth are somewhere related to our ancient culture and have some scientific importance too and those we cannot neglect. We will try to give as much as possible information about India’s fasts and festivals below. It’s not at all wrong to call India as the land of fasts and festivals. The number of fasts and festivals celebrated in India are hardly celebrated in any other country of the world. We can see the unity among people during the festivals. Fasts and festivals are celebrated throughout the whole year in India. Many different kinds of festivals are celebrated in India. Some are religious like Ramanavami,Shivratri, Makar Sankranti, Holi, Guru Purnima, Rakshabandhan, Krishna Janmasthami, Eid, Ganeshotsav, Navaratri , Dashara, Karwachauth, Chath Puja, Dipawali, Govardhan Puja, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Christmas, etc. Some are national programs which are celebrated by the whole nation like Republic Day, Independence Day, 2nd October(Mahatma Gandhi”s birthday) and our ex-prime minister who gave the slogan “Jay Jawan Jai Kisan” Shree Lal Bahadur Shastri’s birthday, Ambedkar Jayanti, Sardar Patel Jayanti. Some festivals are related to our crops like Baisakhi in Punjab, Assam’s Bihu, Onam in south India etc. Some festivals are releated to seasons also, like Punjab’s Lohori, Rajasthan’s, UttarPradesh’s, MadhyaPradesh’s Hariyali(greenery) Teej and Vasantotsav or Saraswati puja which is being celebrated in West Bengal and many other parts. Our country is the land where we can see Unity in Diversity. Therefore any type of festival it may be based on like religious, community, season, he reason behind the celebration is always and everywhere is one and that is Unity.By celebrating these festivals we enjoy and try to bring the feeling of brotherhood among us so that this heritage can be further forwarded and further celebrated with the same exultation, joy and pride. So this is what we have tried to show in our painting in which everyone is togather celebrating the festivals and given it the name Soulhaas which means Exultation. The main motive is to show that whatever may be the celebration or festival is celebrated they are celebrated by using these musical instruments.
